I would appreciate if you would refer the
following to the Council for their consideration.

The man that we discussed who may be interested in serving as an
election judge is !uny Delger. He has served in several volunteer
capacities within the City. He presently lives at the Presbyterian
Homes Eagle Crest facility.

Mayor and Council Members, City of !uden Hills

Re: Property at 3162 N. Hamline Ave.

iaproperty is at the very south end of the Hamline, at the point where
lWiline touches Snelling Avenue. We would like to bring to your
consideration the following two points:

1. We currently have curb, gutter and storm sewer. It is in good
shape, being less then 20 years old. We were told by the previous
property owners that the property was assessed for these improvements at
that time.

In a time of fiscal hardships for all level of governments, it would
seem to be imprudent use of resources to replace something that isn't
broken! Therefore, we ask that existing curb, gutter and sewer in
front of our property not be replaced and our assessment reflect this
reduction in cost.

2. The frontage of our property is 125 feet. The other end of our
property is 75 feet. The City Assessment Policy appears to calculate
such a configuration by averaging the two widths. This would result in
a 100 foot assessable frontage. There is another calculation method that
.. total square footage. This method results in a similar assessable
~ge. Accordingly, and in keeping with City Policy, we request that

Cyrl\l1ia Young
Arden Hills Deputy Oesk
651.634.5126
cynthia.voung@d.arden-hins.mn.us

1
