The project is part of the City's 2003 Capitallmprovements Program and <br />includes the sealcoating of city streets in the area bound by Highway 96, Hamline Avenue, Snelling <br />A venue and 1-694. In addition the Benton Way/Harriet Lane/Pine Tree Drive Neighborhood will be <br />sealcoated. The estimated construction cost for the project is approximately $50,000. The project <br />will be funded entirely by the City and residents will not be assessed. Informational letters are being <br />sent to residents in the affected streets. Bids will be considered by the Council at their June 9th <br />meeting. The work is anticipated to occur in late June, although city crews will be crack sealing <br />prior to the Contractor's work beginning in May. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />The City Engineer recommends that Council pass Resolution No. 03-39 Authorizing the <br />advertisement for construction bids for the 2003 Seal coating Project. <br /> <br />PROJECTS\ARDENHIL\37951\GENERAL\Documcnts\Agenda Memo 4.28~03 Item 3Fdoc <br />
