<br />/' <br /> <br />~) <br /> <br />() <br /> <br />Guidant Corporation <br />Campus Master Plan <br />Land Use Application - Description Request <br />February 3, 2003 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Description of Request (supplement) <br /> <br />I) Guidant is requesting the approval of the final plat of GUIDANT FIRST ADDITION and <br />vacation of various utility and -road easements along Femwood Avenue. <br /> <br />2) Guidant is requesting an amendment to its Campus Master Plan P.U.D. The purpose of the <br />amendment is to allow the re.orientation of Building L and Building K in order to create a <br />DKlre aesthetically pleasing future main arrival point for the campus. Guidant is also <br />requesting an increase in building area of Building L from 108,000 square feet to 112,000 <br />square feet. Initially, in the spring of 2002, Building L received site plan approval for <br />111,000 square feet. As a result of re.orienting buildings 'L' and 'K' the following <br />modifications will also be made to building 'M', a) reduce building area from 138,600 square <br />feet to approximately 130,000 square feet. b) reduce the building footprint by 6,300 square <br />feel, c) rotate the building 90 degrees. Refer to there'vised Campus Plan~wing submitted <br />with this application. <br /> <br />3) Guidant is requesting site plan approval for Addition 'I'. This project is a two story, 54,000 <br />square foot addition to existing buildings 'D' and 'E'. There will be a small mechanical <br />penthouse above a portion of the second floor. The project will provide for research and <br />office space. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4) Guidant is requesting site plan approval for Building 'L'. This project is a three story, <br />112,000 square foot building. It will be cOlllle!'ted to existing building 'F but will be <br />considered a separate building by building code standards. There will be. a mechanical <br />penthouse above a portion of the third floor. This project will provide SPlice for Guidant <br />employee training as well as a small number of visiting physicians. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Page I of I <br />
