COMMUNITY SERVICE <br /> <br />A. Planning Case 02-09: John and Liz Modesette, 3743 New Brighton <br />Road, Minor Subdivision <br /> <br />City Planner Parrish explained the applicants were requesting a minor subdivision <br />of an existing 2.21-acre lot into two lots. He stated the Planning Commission <br />recommended approval of the minor subdivision based on five conditions as noted <br />in his staff report. <br /> <br />Council Member Larson left the meeting at 8:20 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Aplikowski moved and Council Member Grant <br />seconded a motion to approve Planning Case No. 02-09, John and Liz <br />Modesette, 3743 New Brighton Road, Minor Subdivision including <br />the conditions as noted in staffs report. The motion carried <br />unanimously (4-0 - Council Member Larson was absent for the vote). <br /> <br />B. Planning Case 02-10: Bethel College, 3900 Bethel Avenue, Site Plan <br />Review/Amendment <br /> <br />City Planner Parrish explained the applicants were requesting an amendment to <br />their previously approved site plan for the Ona Orth Athletic Complex. He stated <br />the Planning Commission recommended approval of the site plan amendment. <br /> <br />Council Member Larson returned to the meeting at 8:25 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Larson inquired about the windows. Bruce Kunkel, Vice <br />President Bethel College, replied the windows would encompass the entire area as <br />shown in the plans. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst asked what the small structure was as shown on the plans. Mr. <br />Kunkel replied that was the location of the future restroom enclosure. <br /> <br />Council Member Grant asked about the press box and asked what type of <br />ventilation they would have considering it was on the second floor. Mr. Kunkel <br />replied the windows were operable and there would also be a window air <br />conditioner located in the press box. <br />
