<br />. <br /> <br />I <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City of Arden Hills Personnel Policy <br /> <br />~ <br />AT'..('!::',llTlJ}'i <br /> <br />Effective June 29, 2002 <br /> <br />COMPENSATION <br /> <br />Setting of Salaries <br />Salaries for all City employees are set by City Council, based on the recommendation of the <br />City Administrator. <br /> <br />Pay Date <br />It is the policy of the City of Arden Hills to compensate employees for service on a bi-weekly <br />basis. Pay period shall extend for a l4-day work period beginning on Saturday and ending on <br />Friday. Paychecks shall be issued no later than the foliowing Friday. Employees shall not <br />receive paychecks before the scheduled pay date without the prior consent of the City <br />Administrator. When a pay date falls on an official holiday, employees will receive their <br />checks on the last working day before the holiday. <br /> <br />Overtime/Compensatory Time <br />It is recognized that in order to maintain basic services under unusual circumstances, <br />emergencies, and peak workloads, employees may be required to work overtime. <br /> <br />Overtime/Compensatory Time will be paid for all supervisor approved time worked over <br />forty (40) hours per week at the rate of 1'/2 times the employee's regular hourly rate. When <br />computing hours worked - if an employee takes Personal Time Off during the week that <br />he/she works more than 8 hours a day, he/she is not eligible for overtime compensation <br />during that week. <br /> <br />Emple-,ees "'tist "cilize ."'npem.wry hsurs before t.he end of the f",lie w-:ing bi .edd, pur <br />pefie&. <br /> <br />The supervisor must pre-approve overtime unless an emergency arises. <br /> <br />BENEFITS <br /> <br />Insurance <br />All reglli.r full time regular full time and regular part time employees shall be required to <br />participate in the Employer's group health, dental, life, and other applicable insurance <br />programs. The Employer shall contribute a monthly sum established annually by the Council. <br /> <br />Detailed analysis of the current insurance program shall be included in the annual benefit <br />sununary. <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />/ <br />
