<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Job Description <br /> <br />POSITION: <br />DEPARTMENT: <br />REPORTS TO: <br /> <br />Director of Community Development/Assistant City Administrator <br />Community Development <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />Provides assistance to the City Administrator in the administration of City services and <br />operations and other Department Directors to assure compliance with the City's policies, <br />goals, and programs. Manages and directs all the activities of Planning, Building <br />Inspections, Code Enforcement, and Community and Economic Development. <br /> <br />In the absence of the City Administrator, responsible for planning, organizing, directing <br />and coordinating all municipal activities, and serves as the chief administrative officer of <br />the City, responsible for the proper administration of all affairs of the City. <br /> <br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION <br /> <br />Assists the City Administrator in managing overall operations. <br /> <br />Oversees and coordinates economic development activities marketing properties and <br />providing technical and administrative assistance to promote development and <br />redevelopment. <br /> <br />Performs a variety of special assignments and projects for the City Administrator and City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Conducts research and prepares reports and recommendations on issues and projects as <br />assigned. <br /> <br />Gathers, interprets and prepares data for studies, reports and recommendations. <br /> <br />Oversees all aspects of Economic Development and redevelopment projects. <br /> <br />Supervises, plans and organizes activities of the Planning, Inspections, and Code <br />Enforcement. <br /> <br />Supervises and assists the City Planner in developing and implementing land use plans, <br />regulations and policies. <br />
