September 03, 2003 12;26 PM <br />peter,hellegers@ci,arden-hills,mn,us <br />Guidanl parking ramp proposal <br /> <br />Peter; <br /> <br />I want to express concern regarding the proposed Guidant parking ramp next to <br />Building F, I had been under the misunderstanding that this structure would be <br />2 stories above grade so it would have been at the same level as Building F, <br />Since that would be below the treeline, I was unconcerned~ <br /> <br />Now, when I realize that they are talking about 3 stories above grade, my <br />opinion is dramatically changed, This will place the structure well above the <br />treeline and will severely impact us at our home. We live directly across <br />Karth Lake from the park and Guidant, We will now have to see this structure <br />towering above the trees out our back windows and endure the lights (even if <br />they are defused somewhat) at all hours, When we bought this house 5 years <br />ago, a good part of the reason we purchased it was the view from the back, this <br />will destroy that important feature of our home. <br /> <br />I realize that at this point in the planning process, it may be too late to <br />make major changes, but I am hopeful that something can be done to preserve our <br />home value and maintain the residential feel of our neighborhood.
