Hellegers. Peter

.:

To:
Subject:

Ihansohn@comcastnel
Wednesday. September 03, 2003 12;26 PM
peter,hellegers@ci,arden-hills,mn,us
Guidanl parking ramp proposal

Peter;

I want to express concern regarding the proposed Guidant parking ramp next to
Building F, I had been under the misunderstanding that this structure would be
2 stories above grade so it would have been at the same level as Building F,
Since that would be below the treeline, I was unconcerned~

Now, when I realize that they are talking about 3 stories above grade, my
opinion is dramatically changed, This will place the structure well above the
treeline and will severely impact us at our home. We live directly across
Karth Lake from the park and Guidant, We will now have to see this structure
towering above the trees out our back windows and endure the lights (even if
they are defused somewhat) at all hours, When we bought this house 5 years
ago, a good part of the reason we purchased it was the view from the back, this
will destroy that important feature of our home.

I realize that at this point in the planning process, it may be too late to
make major changes, but I am hopeful that something can be done to preserve our
home value and maintain the residential feel of our neighborhood. Possibly
increasing the footprint of the ramp and reducing it by a level would be
concievable or making it go another level below grade, I would appreciate some
thought given to alternatives to the above grade height as well as to the
~ting problem,

_k you,

Linda Hansohn
1124 Amble Drive
Arden Hills

.

1
