.

October 31, 2003

Ms. Julie Wikelius
Principal, Mounds View High School
1900 Lake Valentine Road
Arden Hills, MN 55112

Dear Ms. Wikelius:

On behalf of the Arden Hills Mayor and City Council, I am writing to acknowledge the
outstanding achievement by a trio of Mounds View High School students. According to
published reports, Mounds View High School is the only school in the nation that can
boast having three students score the highest possible score on their ACT and SAT tests.
This is an incredible accomplishment that reflects highly upon your institution and our
community.

.

At a recent public meeting, the City Council noted this achievement and requested that
the school be formally notified of the City's pride in Mounds View High School and the
three students. As I am sure you know, quality schools are an integral part to overall
quality of life in a city, and in Arden Hills we are very fortunate to have such an
outstanding high school for our residents to attend.

The City Council would like to formally acknowledge their achievements with a
proclamation at their November 24th Regular City Council Meeting. I would appreciate
if you would please forward the enclosed invitation letters to Connie, Elisabeth, and
Anna.

Please pass on the congratulations of the City Council to teachers, staff, counselors,
administrators, and of course the students themselves. We are very proud of them and
the school.

Sincerely,

Michelle A.
