<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Draft <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />TRUTH IN TAXATION PUBLIC HEARING <br />MONDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2003, 6:30 P.M. <br />CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 1245 WEST HIGHWAY 96 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Beverly Aplikowski, Council Members Grant, Holden, Larson and Rem. <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator, Michelle Wolfe; Director of Operations and Maintenance, <br />Thomas J. Moore; Director of Community Development/Assistant Administrator, Aaron Parrish; <br />and Deputy Clerk/Human Resources Director, Cynthia Young. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski opened the Truth in Taxation Hearing at 6:35 p.m. Hearing no comments, <br />she closed the hearing at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Parrish introduced the City 2003 accomplishments as the Ramsey County Maintenance <br />Facility; Highway 96 Reconstruction; Karth Lake Neighborhood Street Reconstruction; Karth <br />Lake pumping; Cummings Park Shelter construction and Cummings Park Drive reconstruction; <br />Guidant campus; Cub Foods; Shannon Square expansion; Anchor Bank and the Ingerson <br />Neighborhood Street reconstruction. <br /> <br />Mr. Parrish presented a series of slides which detailed the 2003 budget and property taxes and <br />how property taxes are determined. He also presented levy data from 2000 to 2004; general fund <br />revenue/transfers for the proposed 2004 budget; expenditures; and the 2004 proposed capital <br />budget. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski thanked staff, council members, and commission/committee members for all <br />their efforts in 2003.
