Moore; Director of Operations & Maintenance ~ <br /> <br />~,~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Approve Plan for Sale of Street Signs <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council had requested that staff develop a plan for the sale of the old City street signs <br />that will be replaced in August 2004. The proposed plan is as follows. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Cost per sign will be $10.00. (Money only to be collected at time of pickup.) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Notification venues to the residents: Arden Hills Notes, City Web Site and Cable TV. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Registration Timeline: Monday, August 30, 2004 thru Friday, September 17,2004. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Registration forms can be returned to City Hall via fax, mail or walk up. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />If there are multiple registrations for anyone street sign, the Mayor will 'draw out of hat' <br />the winner and second runner up at the September 20, 2004 Council Work Session. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The winners of street signs will be notified on September 21,2004. Residents will then <br />be advised to come into City Hall to pay for and pick up their street sign. All signs will <br />be held until Friday, October 1, 2004. Street signs not picked up by Friday, October 1, <br />2004 will be sold for scrap.
