<br />, <br />) <br /> <br />') <br /> <br />GENERAL <br /> <br />Bethel College wishes to construct a new residence hall northeast of the existing Seminary <br />complex. This new building is proposed to be a four-story structure, composed of a south and <br />east wing and a central common area. A new parking area will be constructed in front of the <br />facility on the east side and up the hill to the north of the proposed residence hall. A location <br />map and campus map are shown on Figures 1 and 2. M2-06 Enlarged Mechanical Room Plans <br /> <br />PROJECf DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />Altogether, construction of the new building, parking lot and walkways will cover <br />approximately 4_6 acres. The total area of new impeIVious surfaces for the site is 0.98 acres. To <br />achieve this the parking lot and walkways will be constructed using permeable paver blocks. A <br />wooded wetland O. I 7 acre in size will be partially affected by the proposed construction. A <br />detailed wetland replacement and stormwater management plan have been submitted <br />separately to the Rice Creek Watershed District for approval. <br /> <br />The overall drainage for the site is from the top of the hill northwest of the proposed <br />construction towards wetlands and low areas to the southeast. A permeable paver block <br />parking lot is proposed at the northern extent of the construction site.
