<br />- <br />AHociation of <br />Metropolitan <br />Municipalitie~ <br /> <br />RECEIVED <br />MAR - 1 2004 <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />Whereas, the Metropolitan Radio Board (MRB) was authorized by the 1995 <br />Minnesota Legislature to plan, devclop and implement a region wide public safety <br />radio communications system; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the MRB is composed of local government elected and appointed <br />officials as well as Metropolitan Council members who recognize the high level of <br />cooperation needed among all users to ensure the system's success and the <br />importance oflocal input and governance; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the MRB is achieving its legislative charge and working to provide <br />training, update the system, obtain federal funding and attract new members from <br />within and outside the region; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Association of Metropolitan e <br />Municipalities supports the continued local governance and input into the <br />metropolitan public safety communications system through the MRB and supports <br />legislation to continue the MRB. <br /> <br />ADOPTED February 19,2004 <br /> <br />145 University Avenue West <br />Saini Paul.
