)

)

)

In summary, our goal is to improve our home practically and aesthetically by replacing
the garage and breezeway with new structures and because of the atypical characteristics
of our property there is a need for variances.

.

4. Whether the property owner created the hardship.

The hardship created is because of the shape (shallow depth) of the lot and the placement
of the existing structure on the lot; the property owner has not created them. The
problems are part of the original construction (completed prior to the implementation of
current zoning codes).

5. Whether a granted variance will alter the essential character of the neighborhood.

The configuration of this lot is typical for those found on Lake Lane and, as can be seen
by the accompanying photographs, the overall plan and placement ofthe proposed
improvements is in keeping with other homes on the block. The lots located on Lake
Lane were not designed with the zoning codes in mind and because of this we need the
variances we are requesting. Our home is in need of renovation and we believe our plan
will enhance our property and the neighborhood.

J

e

e
