Moore; Director of Operations & Maintenance ~ J _ ~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Old 10 Railroad Bridge/Trail Underpass Feasibility Study <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Staff has received requests from the PTRC and residents to look into the possibility of <br />establishing a trail underpass for the Old 10 Railroad Bridge, located south of the Bethel College . <br />campus. Staff requested a cost estimate from the City's Engineer, Greg Brown, to study this <br />possibility. The PTRC is in support of this possible study. The PTRC would like to recommend <br />that the funds for this feasibility study come ont of the Park Fund. <br /> <br />COST ESTIMATE <br /> <br />URS' cost estimate to undertake this feasibility study is $2,740. The breakdown is as follows: <br /> <br />Position <br />Structural Engineer <br />Civil Engineer <br />Photo rendering <br /> <br />Hourlv Rate <br />8 hours at $901hr <br />20 hours at $651hr <br />8 hours at $651hr <br /> <br />Total Cost <br />$720 <br />$1,300 <br />$720 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve this feasibility study. Staff further recommends <br />that the funds for this feasibility study come from the Park Fund. <br /> <br />URS understands that this study will be reviewed after the structural engineer's report.
