To: Murtuza Siddiqui/Arden Hills File: 37951-026-0101 From: Gregory S, Brown Arden Hills City Engineer Date: May 5, 2004 Subject: Pay Estimate #3 Booster Station Rehabilitation Project Background The City of Arden Hills awarded EnComm Midwest, Inc. of Isanti, MN the Booster Station Rehabilitation Project on November 24, 2003 for a total contract amount of $175,420.00, Pay . Estimate #1 and #2 in the amount of $13,585.00 have been approved by the Council. This project is being paid through the City's Water Utility Fund. Project Status Booster Station Rehabilitation Majority of the work on Booster Station over the last period was on electrical aspects of the rehabilitation including the electrical panel, the generator, and the transformer, which Xcel has installed. The Electrician has also installed conduit and wire for all other items including lights, heater, roll doors, air intake and exhaust fan, the electrical panel, and the generator. Both pumps and motors along with all necessary valves and fittings have been delivered to the site and one pump set-up is totally complete. Other key elements completed are the wood fence for the generator and 6" concrete slabs for one entry. The next few weeks the Contractor is scheduled to complete all work involved with this project and return the operation of the Booster Station back to the City. Recommendations The Arden Hills City Engineer recommends the Council approve Pay Estimate #3 for EnComm Midwest Inc, of Isanti, MN in the amount of $104,090,55. A retain age of 5.00% is being held . for this project.
