Karth Lake Pumping Station Background The City of Arden Hills awarded Jay Bros., Inc. of Forest Lake, MN the Lift Station #7 Rehabilitation! Karth Lake Pumping Station Project on September 29, 2003 for a total contract amount of $232,772.50. Pay Estimate #1 and #2 in the amount of $152,110.20 have been . approved by the Council. Project Status Karth Lake Pumping Station For Karth Lake Pumping Station the installation of the floating pump system hardware is complete. This includes the quick connection and hose to the forcemain, the pump and float, and all other hardware needed for assembly. The final aspect of the system to be completed is the electrical controls and the electrical Contractor has already begun work. Restoration of the lake-side construction zone are just about complete with a little more work to be done after the electrical Contractor is finished. The sod for the park will then be installed now that sod farms are ready to deliver sod. Lift Station #7 Rehabilitation Work for lift station #7 has been substantially complete since Wednesday, March 17 which was the stations startup day. Some Punchlist items remain as well as site restoration. Site grading has been completed while restoration is in the process. Remaining site restoration includes some work on bituminous path construction, installation of topsoil, and sod placement. Recommendations The Arden Hills City Engineer recommends the Council approve Pay Estimate #3 for Jay Bros., . Inc, of Forest Lake, MN in the amount of $12,627.87. A retainage of 5.00% is being held for this project.
