EvaluatElprocurement and financial management processes including:

A. Evaluate the use of credit cards for transactions at City Hall: The City
does not currently offer citizens and other customers the option to pay for
services by credit card. In the past, there has been considerable interest
expressed by the public to be able to pay with some type of credit or
check card. This service is most often requested in conjunction with
recreation registrations and building permit applications. There is an
expense associated with providing this service. It is a percentage of the
transaction amount. At the April 26, 2004 Council meeting, the Council
authorized staff to implement this system as of January 1, 2005 and to
budget the associated costs accordingly.
Implementation Timeline: 2004-2005

4. Evaluate and implement the computerized monitoring of City's Water and
Sanitary Sewer infrastructure.

A. To provide on-line monitoring of the lift and water booster water levels and
a variety of alarm type situations. The system will monitor high water, low
water, debris in pipes, and electrical failures in the control panel, and the
overall management of the stations. The system can be monitored from
any location that has access to the internet.
Implementation Time: 2004-2005

5. Establish an Internal MIS Committee

To provide more diligent oversight of the City's overall internal technology needs,
it is suggested that an internal Management Information Systems (MIS)
Committee be established. The MIS Committee would provide a mechanism to
coordinate technology investments across departments, implement the
''Technology Master Plan," and facilitate end user training where practical.
