<br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />MAY 24, 2004 <br /> <br />Councilmember asking the City to consider the smoking ban in bars and restaurants. She stated <br />she was opposed to such a ban. <br /> <br />Conncilmember Grant agreed that a smoking ban should be left up to the businesses and the <br />City should not get involved. <br /> <br />Conncilmember Larson stated smoking was a public health issue and he would be in favor of <br />such a ban. He believed there should also be a smoking ban in the City parks. <br /> <br />Ms. Wolfe asked if this is something that should be brought back to the Council for a discussion <br />at a future date. Mayor Aplikowski requested staff to put this on a future work session agenda <br />for discussi on. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden requested a list of the businesses in the City that would be affected by a <br />smoking ban and asked how much it would cost to enforce the ban. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski adjourned the Regular City Council Meeting at 8:44 p.m. <br /> <br />Beverly Aplikowski <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Michelle Wolfe <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />NOTICE OF MEETINGS <br /> <br />The next Council Meeting will be held Monday, June 14, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Arden Hills <br />Council Chambers. <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />
