Since some elected officials . <br />were not able to attend the meeting, I would like your help to ensure that your elected officials '. I <br />receive the background materials and that they have the opportunity to discuss and complete the <br />enclosed PSAP Option/Feedback Form by June 16th. <br /> <br />As you know, one of the critical issues in developing a new communication system is the number <br />and location of dispatch centers. The Policy Planning Committee (PPe), which includes elected <br />officials from County jurisdictions, would like input from your jurisdiction on this topic. On June <br />17'", the ppe will be developing recommendations for the County Board. The County Board will <br />examine and discuss these options on June 220d. <br /> <br />The Project Management Team's Dispatch Work Group has prepared a report that looks at several <br />options for the future of dispatch operations in Ramsey County. The options range from continuing <br />with four dispatch centers to developing one countywide center. Several variations for a two- <br />dispatch center system have also been examined. Materials were presented at the June 3'd <br />community meeting. The meeting materials are listed below and copies are attached to this <br />memorandum. <br /> <br />. A yellow PSAP Option/Feedback Form that has several questions for your jurisdiction to <br />answer regarding dispatch centers/PSAPs. <br />. A set of overheads from the June 3, 2004, community meeting where the dispatch options were <br />presented. They provide significant background material that you may use in your discussions. <br />.
