Brown Arden Hills City Engineer Date: June 22, 2004 Subject: Pay Estimate #4 Booster Station Rehabilitation Project Background The City of Arden Hills awarded EnComm Midwest, Inc. of Isanti, MN the Booster Station Rehabilitation Project on November 24, 2003 for a total contract amount of $175,420.00. Pay . Estimate #1, #2, and #3 in the amount of $117,675.55 have been approved by the Council. This project is being paid through the City's Water Utility Fund. Project Status Booster Station Rehabilitation The Booster Station Rehabilitation has been completed and its operation has been turned back to the City in this last period of work. The final work included the installation and testing of the second pump and motor, painting, adding shelving, site grading, sod, bituminous patching and putting the finishing touches on all other electrical and mechanical amenities at the station. On June 2, 2004 we held a site meeting to review the final work at the site and created a punchlist for the contractor to complete. They have completed most of the punchlist items with a few very minor duties left. The 5% retainage will be reduced to 2% mainly to cover the last of the punchlist items and also to ensure that the sod is acceptable. We expect the final items to be complete soon. Recommendations The Arden Hills City Engineer recommends the Council approve Pay Estimate #4 for EnComm Midwest Inc, of Isanti, MN in the amount of $54,236.05. A retain age of 2.00% is being held for . this project.
