<br />. <br /> <br />City of Arden Hills <br />2005 Assessment Policy <br /> <br />APPEALS PROCESS <br /> <br />An owner of the property has the opportnnity to appeal the assessment amount <br />at various sta!!es of the assessment process. The first sta!!e is when the <br />assessment amonnt is initially estimated by staff based on the interpretation of <br />the existin!! Assessment Policy. If the estimate was based on inaccurate or <br />incomplete information, the owner may work directly with staff to clarify or <br />rectify the situation. <br /> <br />If the owner is not satisfied with the outcome at this sta!!e, known as the first <br />sta!!e. they may file a formal appeal with the Citv Council. prior to the adoption <br />of the assessment roll. This is known as the second sta!!e of the appeal's process. <br /> <br />If the appeal is denied by the City Council. the owner may appeal to the district <br />court pursuant to Minnesota Statutes. Section 429.081. by servin!! notice of the <br />appeal to the Mayor or the City Administrator within thirty (30) days after tbe <br />adoption of the assessment. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />2005 Assessment Policy Manual- Page 13 <br />
