<br />. <br /> <br />City of Arden Hills <br />2005 Assessment Policy <br /> <br />Lateral benefit may be provided by connection to trunk, subtrunk or lateral <br />pipes. The calculation oflateral benefit from a trunk or subtrunk pipe will <br />be based on the cost of an eight inch (8") pipe along the same alignment <br />for commercial or industrial zoned property and a six inch (6") pipe for all <br />othcr areas. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Infrastructure Rehabilitation Projects <br />Any project or portion of a project that reconstructs an eXlstmg water <br />system facility. A rehabilitation project may occur on the existing <br />alignment of thc water line or on a new alignment, thus allowing the <br />existing line to be abandoncd or its status downgraded (i.e., trunk or <br />subtrunk to lateral). <br /> <br />B. Determining Water Main Assessment Rates <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />1. Trunk. Subtrunk. Storal!e and Treatment Facility Rates <br />Any lateral and building service assessments described below will be <br />deducted from the total improvement cost to be assessed. The remaining <br />costs shall be spread equally to all properties that lic within the approved <br />Service District. The costs shall be spread on a gross area basis and will <br />be known as all or any of the following as appropriate: trunk, sub trunk, <br />source, storage, and treatment assessment. <br /> <br />2. 'Vater Main Lateral Rates <br />The building service assessments described below will be deducted from <br />the total improvement cost to be assessed. The amount remaining after <br />said deductions will be assessed by the following method. <br /> <br />. R-l and R-2 residential lots at 100% ofthe total project cost <br />. All other land uses at 100% of the total project cost <br /> <br />3. Water Main Buildinl! Service <br />The assessment rate for each size of building service three-quarter inch <br />(3/4") to eight inch (8 ") inch shall be determined by adding all the costs <br />associated with each size of service and dividing by the total number of <br />services constructed. Each unit will be assessed at the determined rate for <br />each size and number of services installed.
