Moore, Director of Operations & Maintenance <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Lexington Avenue Reconstruction Project <br /> <br />Backf!round <br />In the fall of 2003, the Ramsey County Public Works Department informed the City of Arden <br />Hills that Lexington Avenue would be reconstructed in 2005. The section of Lexington Avenue <br />that will be reconstmcted is between Cummings Park Drive and County Road 96. The Ramsey <br />County Public Works has held two informational neighborhood meetings for the Arden Hills <br />residents impacted by this project. The meetings were held here at the Arden Hills City Hall. In <br />addition, the Ramsey County Public Works Department has appeared twice before the City <br />Council to provide updates concerning this project. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Tonight, Mr. Jim Tolaas, P.E., the Lexington Avenue Reconstmction Project Manager for <br />Ramsey County Public Works will provide a brief overview of the project. Major items for <br />discussion and approval for the City Council tonight will be: <br /> <br />I. Approval of the Project Development Report (PDR) - a PDR is equivalent to an Arden <br />Hills PMP Feasibility Report where the overall design, impacts and costs are explained. <br />The City Council can qualify this approval, i.e. change the width of the trail path from <br />eight feet to six feet. <br /> <br />2. Approve Cooperative Agreement PW2004-1 0 - The Exhibit A to this agreement, mirrors <br />the cost spread sheet in the PDR. This agreement states that the actual costs will be <br />adjusted as the final design is completed. Final plans and updated costs for this project <br />will come before the City Council for final approval in January 2005. <br /> <br />3. Approve the Right-Of-Way (ROW) Plan - Any changes that the City Council chooses to <br />make in item #1 listed above could have an impact on the ROW Plan. If any changes are <br />made, Council has the option of authorizing the City Administrator to sign off on behalf <br />of the City Council, once those revisions are made and resubmitted to the City for _ <br />approval. The purpose of this action would be to eliminate any delay(s) to the project by .. <br />
