The general scope of the <br />improvements includes widening of the pedestrian walk along the County Road E bridge across <br />TH 51 and construction ofan at grade sidewalk from the signalized intersection east of the <br />bridge to the intersection of County Road E and Old Highway 10. We have developed a series <br />of options for the bridge crossing for council's consideration outlined in the March, 2004 <br />feasibility report. The report also describes options regarding the sidewalk connection to Old <br />Highway 10, <br /> <br />Bridge Improvements <br />Below is a general summary of the Bridge options we have developed to date: <br /> <br />Option A: <br />· Replace existing bridge north sidewalk and guardrail with F-type rail (1 '-8" wide vs. 3'-8") <br />· Shift roadway centerline 3' to the north <br />· Narrow traffic lanes to l4' (currently 15') <br />· Construct 6' -6" foot walk along the south side of bridge <br />· Estimated bridge construction cost: $60,000 <br /> <br />Option B: <br />· Replace existing bridge north sidewalk and guardrail with F-type rail (I '-8" wide vs, 3' .-8") <br />· Shift roadway centerline 3' to the north <br />· Narrow traffic lanes to 14' (currently l5') <br />· Construct 7'-6" foot walk along south side of bridge with cantilever structure improvements <br />
