All lift station and booster stations are
i SCADA compatible and ready to go for installation. The SCADA will assist staff
I members by sending information to the City's computer system, A laptop computer will
I allow staff members to monitor the lift stations, booster stations, and water tower from a
i remote location.

r - -- ... -'.. ..
Project Rationale:
The SCADA system would cut down on the number of call outs during non-business
hours and eliminate the need to visually check the City's 14 lift stations and booster
I stations on a daily basis, This would be free up manpower for other city functions,

I The new SCADA system would allow the O&M staff to view level readings from a
computer. In addition corrections can be made to the pumps or equipment through the
SCADA computer system, thus saving staff members a trip to the site.

33
