<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Memo <br />CIP/Pavement Management <br />2 <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Staff is providing two sets of documents with this memorandum. The first set of documents is <br />the five year Proposed 2005 - 2009 CIP spreadsheet that summarizes the outlay by year and <br />capital project. This spreadsheet, labeled, "Proposed 2005 - 2009 Five Year Capital <br />Improvement Plan 10/11/04" provides a summary of all Construction Projects, Technology <br />Upgrades, Public Safety Equipment, Parks & Trails Improvements, and Operations and <br />Maintenance Equipment. <br /> <br />The second set of documents is a detailed listing of individual projects that describe the scope of <br />the project, including the rationale for undertaking it. <br /> <br />It should be noted that the projects outlined in the CIP have been incorporated into the Utility <br />Rate Study and as mentioned previously, any changes to the CIP have an impact on the fund <br />balances. <br /> <br />At the October 18, 2004, Work Session, the Council further reviewed and discussed the <br />Proposed 2005 - 2009 Capital Improvement Plan and directed staff to finalize the document. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: <br />Staff recommends that the Council adopt the proposed 2005 - 2009 Five Year Capital <br />Improvement Plan. <br />
