Moore <br />Director of Operalions & Maintenance <br />City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Moore: <br /> <br />Thank you for your letter daled November 19, 2004 inviling me to attend the City Council discussion <br />scheduled for November 29th, Unfortunately, I have a previous commitment for that night and will be <br />unable to attend. <br /> <br />Pursuant to my e-mail to you last April, I would again like 10 express my full support of the proposed <br />project to build a sidewalk and trail along the south or north side of County Road E. Just looking at <br />the street, however, it would seem that the south side would be the most economical option. <br /> <br />I reside in a neighborhood immediately northwest of the Counly Road E bridge over Snelling, As you <br />may know, our neighborhood has ils share of kids - from the very young through the leen years. <br /> <br />Many kids in our neighborhood make the short but dangerous trip across the bridge everyday to <br />reach businesses on the other side of Snelling. Our next door neighbor son, as an example, works <br />at Mr. Movies and has to walk on busy County Road E 10 commute to work. Similarly, another <br />neighbor's son works at McDonalds and has to make the same trip. Both make the walk in the dark <br />after work is finished, and when traffic is pretty heavy from customers leaving the Pot of Gold bingo <br />house nearby. <br /> <br />Building the sidewalk/trial along the Snelling bridge is first and foremost an matter of safety. Its <br />construction will provide our area children with a safe way to cross Snelling everyday. <br /> <br />I appreciate the opportunity to express my views. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Very best regards, <br />
