Highway 96 Arden Hills, MN 55112-3923 Subject: 2005 NM 1-35W Corridor Coalition Membership Dear Mayor Aplikowski: On behalf of the Board of Directors, we invite you to consider renewing your City's membership in the North Metro 1-35W Corridor Coalition. Your city's participation has been missed and we hope that circumstances have change to the point where it is possible for the city to rejoin the Coalition in 2005. For your information, the Board is in the process of considering a revised and reduced scope of effort for the near term. Our primary emphasis will be the pursuit of highway system improvements in the 1-35W corridor area, maintenance of our GIS capabilities and serving as a catalyst for intra-city collaborative efforts. The immediate goal for highway system improvements is to support the 1-35W Solutions Task Force that recently began efforts to resolve basic design alternative decisions. We will also be working with MnIDOT, the Metro Council and the Legislature to get specific projects into the delivery pipeline. Your support for these efforts is important and welcomed. The budget, and membership fees would be restructured to support this reduced scope of activities. Attached is a draft member fee structure indicating the cost to your city for basic membership, predicated on all cities participating. You will note that the proposed fee is significantly reduced from past membership costs.
