Brown Arden Hills City Engineer Date: September 2, 2005 Subject: 2005 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project, Pay Estimate #2 Background The City of Arden Hills awarded Gridor Construction Inc., of Plymouth, MN the 2005 Sanitary . Sewer Rehabilitation Project on April 25, 2005 for a total contract amount of $236,758.00. Pay Estimate #1, in the amount of $94,172.36, has been approved by the Council. Project Status Lift Station #9 Lift Station #9 has been operational for approximately a month. Site restoration and driveway paving are the major items which need to be completed and this work will be done in conjunction with Lift Station #4 within the next few weeks. We will then host a punchlist meeting with the Contractor and the Operations and Maintenance Staff to review the work. Lift Station #4 Gridor has just completed the start-up at Lift Station #4 this week. Work completed includes, but is not limited to, the installation of the 72" wet well manhole and the 60" valve manhole as well as the plumbing for both. All accessories needed for each pump assembly were also installed, as well as the installation of the pumps themselves. The electrical control panel is complete including all required wiring and the forcemain connection has been made. As with Lift Station #9, site restoration and driveway paving are the major items left to be completed and once they are done we will host a punchlist meeting to review the site. Recommendations The Arden Hills City Engineer recommends the Council approve Pay Estimate #2 for Gridor Construction Inc., of Plymouth, MN in the amount of $105,579.39. .
