<br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />Aprilll,2005 <br /> <br />Agenda Item 6.E <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Peter Hellegers, City Planner N _ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: PC #05-08 <br />The City of Arden Hills <br />Sign Ordinance Amendments for Athletic Field Signage at Bethel University, <br />Mounds View High School, and Northwestern College <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Consider proposed Ordinance #358 (and Ordinance #358 Summary) which would amend <br />Ordinance No. 333 "An Ordinance Regulating Signage Standards within the City of Arden Hills" <br />to establish standards for athletic field signage at Bethel University, Mounds View High School, <br />and Northwestern College were such signage is visible from a public roadway or property <br />outside of these educational institutions. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Plannin2 Commission Recommendation <br /> <br />Recommendation and Conditions of Approval <br />At their March 2, 2005 meeting the Planning Commission reviewed Planning Case #05-08 and <br />unanimously recommended approval (5-0) of the Sign Ordinance Amendments as proposed. <br /> <br />Options <br /> <br />I. Recommend approval as submitted. <br />2. Recommend approval with conditions. <br />3. Recommend denial with reasons for denial. If the City denies the petitioners request, <br />"... it must state in writing the reasons for the denial at the time it denies the request." <br />4.
