<br />, f <br /> <br />Any structure from which a sign has been moved or removed shall be repaired with materials and/or <br />painted or stained to match the existing background. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Activities considered normal maintenance and repair and not requiring a sign permit from <br />the City shall include activities such as replacing lamps, replacing ballast in freestanding <br />signs, replacing transformers in building signs, painting the pole of freestanding signs and <br />the cabinet of freestanding or building signs, replacing or repairing the sign face, <br />including H-bars and retainers behind the face, replacing trim and replacement of sigu <br />fasteners, nuts and washers. <br /> <br />B Activities not considered normal maintenance and repair and requiring a sign permit from <br />the City and that shall require that a nonconforming sign be brought into conformance <br />with all requirements of this chapter include: <br /> <br />1. Changes made to the size, height or bulk of the sign or the removal of the <br />sign for the repair or replacement of the cabinet or any part thereof, not <br />including the face, or addition of illumination <br /> <br />2. Changes in poles, structural supports, bases or shrouds, footings or anchor <br />bolts, moving the sign for any reason, change or replacement of the <br />interior or exterior cabinet frame and removal of any part of the sign for <br />maintenance, except the sign face. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />A sign permit in addition to a building permit is required and will be issued for any <br />placement or installation of a new sign, temporary or permanent, or for any maintenance <br />activity that requires a sign permit, after application for such permit on a form provided <br />by the City along with any plans, certifications or other attachments requested by the City, <br />and the finding by City Officials the application is in conformance with the regulations of <br />this section. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Effective Date. This ordinance will take effect and be in force after its passage and official publication. <br /> <br />AdOption Date.
