<br />Minnesota Cooperative Purchasiue: Venture (CPV)
<br />The City of Ardcn Hills currently pays $500 annually to maintain membership in the Minnesota
<br />Cooperative Purchasing Venture Program. This allows the City to participate in State
<br />specifications and bid prices, resulting in the City of Arden Hills paying the same amount for a
<br />single piece of equipment as the State does for numerous pieces. The discount is such that a City
<br />buying a new piece of equipment through the CPV will typically pay less than buying a slightly
<br />used piece of equipment, which was not purchased through the CPV.
<br />
<br />Superior Ford is the vendor that has the State contract for Ford vehicles and Truck Utilities is the
<br />vendor that has the State contract for truck utilities.

<br />The proposed replacement vehicle for vehicle #2 will be a 2005 Ford F350, Super Heavy Duty,
<br />4x4 Truck with a 6.0L power stroke diesel engine, trailer tow package, snow plow package and
<br />maximum traction tread tires. The cost of this vehicle, with sales tax and license included, is
<br />$29,543.33. Without the CPV, the price would have been $44,551.43. The membership in the
<br />CPV saved the City of Arden Hills, $15,008.10. It will cost an additional $900 to have the
<br />vehicle painted Arden Hills tan.

<br />Utilities, with sales tax, will cost an additional $6,639. These utilities include a Tommy Lift
<br />Gate #60-1040, running boards, Ramsey Winch Model RE1220R12V, cab rack, and a Whelan
<br />Strobe Light System.

<br />The proposed replacement vehicle for vehicle #13 will be a 2005 Ford F450, Super Heavy Duty,
<br />4x4 Truck with a 6.0L power stroke diesel engine, trailer tow package, snow plow package and
<br />maximum tread tires. The cost of the vehicle, with sales tax and license is $32,398.22. Without
<br />the CPV, the price would have been $45,088.72. The membership in the CPV saved the City of
<br />Arden Hills, $12,690.50. It will cost an additional $1,500 to have the vehicle painted Arden Hills
<br />tan.

<br />Utilities, with sales tax, will cost an additional $28,206.52. These utilities include a dump body
<br />and central hydraulics package, running boards and a Whelan Dot III Light System.

<br />Costs
<br />The final cost for the 2005 Ford F350, Super Duty, 4x4 Truck, including utilities, sales tax and
<br />license is $ 37,082.33. The final cost for the 2005 Ford F450, Super Heavy Duty, 4x4 Truck
<br />including utilities, sales tax and license is $62,104.74. The cost breakdown for each vchicle is
