Repealing existing City Code Section 330.03 relating to Massage, Rap, and Sauna <br />Parlors. <br />. Adopting proposed Section 330.04 relating to Massage Therapy Establishments <br />and Massage Therapists. <br />. Amending Sections 5.E and I O.G of the Zoning Ordinance to reference Massage <br />Therapists and Massage Therapy Establishments. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Overview <br /> <br />At their December and January meetings the Planning Commission held discussions on <br />the current City Code regulations for massage and what to do about requests to operate <br />Massage Therapy businesses. Several examples of Massage Therapy regulations from <br />other cities were provided to the Planning Commission at the January meeting and staff <br />recommended adopting language similar to Shoreview. In general the Planning <br />Commission indicated that the City Code should be changed to allow Massage Therapy, <br />that Massage Therapy should also be allowed as a Home Occupation, and that the <br />proposed Shoreview language was acceptable. <br /> <br />Zoninl!
