The home occupation shall not result in traffic, parking, noise, light, fumes, and <br />odors to such an extent that it is noticcable that the property is being used for non- <br />residential purposes. <br /> <br />The standards for Massage Therapy Home Occupations were intended to build off ofthe <br />existing home occupation regulations, minimize any potential for nuisances, and to insure <br />that the home occupation was clearly an accessory use. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />In Planning Case #05-06, staff recommends approval of: <br /> <br />. Repealing Section 330.03 of the City Code relating to Massage, Rap, and Sauna <br />Parlors and new Section 330.04 relating to Licensed Therapeutic Massage be <br />adopted (these measures would be enacted by the City Council through City <br />Ordinance - staff will try to have a sample of such ordinance available at the <br />Planning Commission meeting). <br /> <br />. Zoning Amendments # 1 and #2 (as listed above) to allow for Massage Therapy as <br />a special use, not permitted use, or permitted use in certain Zoning districts. <br /> <br />Options <br /> <br />1. Recommend approval as submitted. <br />2. Recommend approval with conditions. <br />3. Recommend denial with reasons for deniaL Ifthe City denies the petitioners <br />request, "...it must state in writing the reasons for the denial at the time it denies <br />the request." <br />4.
