<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />Draft: April 15, 2005 <br /> <br />EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR POLICY <br /> <br />The City Council of Arden Hills encourages and supports recognizing employees who <br />make significant contributions to the City. The purpose of selecting an Employee of the <br />Year is to: <br />. Reward employees who are adjudged by their co-workers to be deserving of <br />special recognition for their accomplishments and contributions to the City. <br /> <br />The City of Arden Hills hereby establishes a policy to recognize an employee of the year <br />in the following manner: <br /> <br />Procedure: <br /> <br />. On an annual basis, each employee is given the opportunity to nominate a City <br />employee (or oneself) for Employee of the Year. <br />. The following categories represent areas which shall be used to determine an <br />Employee of the Year. Each nomination must relate to either one or all of the <br />categories, and shall include a description detailing specific cost savings, <br />innovations, examples of exemplary performance, etc. which the nominated <br />employee has accomplished. <br />1. Public Rc1ations- This category recognizes an individual who consistently <br />projects a positive image of the City and its services to his/her co-workers <br />and the gcneral public. <br />2. Consistency of Performance- Dependability, reliability, responsibility and <br />integrity over a long period of employment with the city are items <br />measured in this category. Recognition is given to the quality of ongoing <br />consistent dedication to the City. <br />3. Significant Accomplishment- Often an employee is charged with the <br />responsibility or assumes the responsibility of completing a significant <br />goal, activity, or project. Frequently the completion of such a project has <br />a major impact on the operations of the departmcnt or the City as a whole. <br />This category recognizes employees for such accomplishments. <br />
