City staff began <br />researching this topic by conducting a false alarm e-mail survey, <br /> <br />For your review, I have attached a copy of the spread sheet identifying the different false alarm <br />fees that are being charged by the different communities that responded to the e-mail request. <br />Also, for your review is a document created by the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities <br />with varies false alarm fees that are being charged by communities through out the Twin Cities <br />metropolitan area, <br /> <br />At this time, the City's current fee schedule for false alarms is the following: <br /> <br />. 0-3 False Alarm Calls-No Charge; <br />. 4-15 False Alarm Calls-$50.00 Per Incident; <br />. 15 Alarms and Over-$150.00 Per Incident <br /> <br />In 2005, the City of Arden Hills had 252 fire calls that were handled by the Lake JohaIllla Fire <br />Department After reviewing the Lake Johanna monthly call-out reports for 2005, the City of <br />Arden Hills had 102 fire calls that were deemed false alarms. For your review, I have attached a <br />spread sheet that identifies the number of fire calls per contract City from 1996 thru 2005 and a <br />statistical breakdown of the false alarm calls by their identification call numbers for the years <br />2000 to 2005. During the 2005 calendar, there were fifty different residential and commercial <br />sites in which the Lake Johanna Fire Department responded to false alarm calls, In 2005, the <br />following locations had the greatest number of false alarm callouts by the Lake Johanna Fire <br />Department: <br />. Bethel University, 3900 Bethel Drive-27 False Alarms; <br />. Arden Woods Office Complex, 4105 Lexington A venue-6 False Alarms; <br />. Mounds View High School, 1900 Lake Valentine Road-5 False Alarms; <br />. TCAAP, 4700 Highway 96-4 False Alarms, <br />
