Although the tank's design somewhat limits <br />access to the roof, a chain-link fence surrounding the site should be considered if <br />additional security is desired. <br /> <br />Ladders and Handrails <br />The ladders met the dimensional requirements of OSHA for fixed ladder safety. <br />Likewise the railing systems on the roof and on the platform leading to the tank access <br />tube were compliant. <br /> <br />Overflow <br />The overflow pipe had a properly designed air break. The overflow terminated at <br />an energy dissipater (splash pad) to minimize erosion and reduce chlorine concentrations <br />to the receiving body of water. <br /> <br />Roof <br /> <br />The roof manways met the A WW A dimensional recommendations. The vent was <br />of proper size and in good condition. The vent's screen was also in good condition.
