<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - January 9, 2006 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Authorize the Preparation of Final Plans and Specifications for the 2006 Ridl!ewood <br />PMP Proiect <br /> <br />Mr. Moore stated the Ridgewood Neighborhood was identified for pavement reconstruction in <br />2006 as part of the ongoing City pavement management program. Neighborhood meetings were <br />held in January and March of2005 and meetings with the Lake Johanna Beach Club were held in <br />April and July of 2005, The Feasibility Report for the project was received by Council on <br />August 8, 2005 and a public hearing was conducted on August 29, 2005, <br /> <br />The Feasibility Report included a number of project options to be considered by the Council. <br />The report and options were presented at the public hearing in August, 2005 and discussed at the <br />December 19,2005 Council worksession, <br /> <br />He recommended the Council authorize the City Engineer to prepare final plans and <br />specifications for the reconstruction of the Ridgewood Neighborhood streets as outlined in the <br />Feasibility Report received August 8, 2005, <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a <br />motion to authorize the City Engineer to prepare final plans and <br />specifications for the reconstruction of the Ridgewood Neighborhood <br />streets. The motion carried unanimously (3-0), <br /> <br />B. Approval of Contract for Appraisal of Old City Hall Site <br /> <br />Ms. Barton stated the City received two responses for the request for proposals for an appraisal <br />of the old City Hall site at 1450 Highway 96, The lowest complete bid was received from <br />BRKW Appraisals, Inc, <br /> <br />She recommended Council approve the contract with BRKW Appraisals, Inc" for the appraisal <br />of Old City Hall site, specifying selection of one of the following options: <br /> <br />I, Base appraisal for limited business use; $2,400,00 <br />2, Base appraisal for limited business use, plus townhome development valuation; <br />$3,150,00; or <br />3, Base appraisal for limited business use, plus townhome development valuation, and <br />analysis and estimate of a mixed use form ofland utilization; $3,400.00 <br /> <br />She stated staff was also requesting direction from Council to further clarifY specifications to be <br />included in the appraisal. <br /> <br />Councilmcmber Holden stated this was zoned business and inquired how a townhome <br />development was being considered. Ms. Barton responded she based this on the specifications <br />from the previous appraisal. <br />
