The proposed addition would accommodate the expansion of an <br />existing mastcr bedroom and bathroom for handicap accessibility. Accessihility to the home <br />would also be improved through the construction of an inclined ramp at the front entryway. The <br />proposal requires a variance to reduce the required 40-foot structure setback from a street right- <br />of-way to 28 feet. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Recommendation <br /> <br />Recommendation and Conditions of Approval <br />At their February 1, 2006, meeting, the Planning Commission reviewed Planning Case #05-21 <br />and voted 4-3 to recommend approval ofthc variance rcquest subject to the following conditions: <br />I. The project must be completed in accordance with the plans submitted as part of the <br />Variance application. Any significant changes to these plans, as determined by the <br />City Planner, will require review and approval by the Planning Commission. <br />2. The variance shall automatically expire and become void one (I) year from and after <br />the date on which the Council grantcd such approval if work on the project has not <br />begun within that time period. <br />3. The applicant shall comply with Section 6 Subd.
