The acts of merchants or their employees in delivering <br />goods in the regular course of business. <br /> <br />5. Solicitations by organizations for philanthropic religious, <br />political, charitable, non-profit or educational causes. <br /> <br />B. Application for Exemption. An application for exemption shall be <br />submitted to the City Administrator or designee on forms <br />provided by the City at least ten (10) days before the applicant <br />desires to conduct business within the City. A completed <br />application shall include the following information: <br /> <br />1. Name and purpose of the cause for which the exemption is <br />sought; <br /> <br />2. Name, address and telephone number of the individual in <br />the organization responsible for the activities of the <br />peddler and/ or solicitor; <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Names and addresses of individuals who will actually be <br />peddling or soliciting, provided that, if any such <br />individuals are under 18 years of age, only the name, <br />address and telephone number of the responsible <br />supervising adult is necessary. <br /> <br />4. Period during which solicitation or peddling is to be carried <br />on; and <br /> <br />5. Certificate of non-profit status, if applicable, from the <br />state where organized. <br /> <br />C. Political Organizations. Political organizations that request <br />permission to canvass in the City are required to complete a legal <br />affidavit and file it with the City Administrator or designee. <br /> <br />Revocation. Certificates of registration may be revoked by the City <br />Administrator for a violation of any provision of this section. The <br />decision of the City Administrator shall be final. <br /> <br />5 <br />
