The two amendments <br />relate to garbage container storage, and the addition relates to accessory structure aesthetics. <br /> <br />The proposed amendments are not changes in policy; instead, these changes will help make the <br />Zoning Ordinance and City Code more consistent, clearer, and easier to enforce. <br /> <br />Discussion: Proposed Code LanlZualZe <br /> <br />A. Garbage Container Storage <br /> <br />The existing language in the Zoning Ordinance and the City Code relating to the <br />containnlent of garbage and storing the garbage eans is as follows: <br /> <br />Chapter 6.G.2.a of the Arden Hills Zoning Code states: <br />a. "Containment. In all districts, all waste materials, debris, refuse or garbage <br />shall be kept in an enclosed building or be properly screened and contained in <br />a closed container designed for such purpose so as not to be visible from <br />adjoining properties or public streets." <br /> <br />Section 620.04 Subd. 4 of the City Code states: <br />Subd. 4 Storage. "... The containers shall be kept in an accessible location for <br />collection and shall be kept in a location on the owner's premises that is as <br />nOl1conspicuous as practicable from adjoining prcmises." <br />
