Bids were received from four (4) contractors. The tabulated bid outcome is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Contractor <br />1. Margolis Company <br />2. Hoffman & McNamara <br />3. Hartman Tree Farm <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />Bid Amount <br />$176,732.50 <br />$189,983.00 <br />$196,952.00 <br />$224,412.00 <br />$268,942.00 <br /> <br />All bids included proper bid gnarantees in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid as <br />required by the Project Manual. Bid amounts were verified by creating a bid tabulation, which is <br />attached for your information. The irrigation was listed as a bid alternate. In the even that bids <br />were higher than the Engineer's estimate, this would allow the City the option to include or <br />eliminate the irrigation portion of the project. Margolis Company submitted the low bid with a <br />total bid amount of$176,732.50. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS <br /> <br />The low bid is approximately $92,000 lower than the Engineer's Estimate.
