<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(B) No person owning or harboring, or having the care of a dangerous <br />animal shall suffer or permit such animal to go beyond the <br />premises of such person unless such animal is securely muzzled <br />and restrained with a chain not exceeding three (3) feet in <br />length, and having a tensile strength sufficient to restrain the <br />animal. Animals which are actively participating in recognized <br />local, regional or national trials, training or other such sponsored <br />competition, need not to be muzzled while being transported to <br />or from during such competitions. <br /> <br />(C) No person shall own or harbor any animal for the purpose of <br />fighting, or train, torment, badger, bait or use any animal for the <br />purpose of causing or encouraging said animal to unprovoked <br />attacks upon human beings or domestic animals. <br /> <br />(D) Any person harboring or owning a dangerous animal that is found <br />to be in violation of this ordinance shall be subject to 400.13 of <br />this Code. <br /> <br />400.06 Enforcement. The provisions of Sections 400.01 through 400.14 shall be <br />enforced by the Animal Control Officer. No person shall, in any manner, interfere <br />with or hinder an Animal Control Officer in the discharge of their duties. <br /> <br />400.07 Exemptions. The following provisions of this Chapter shall not apply in the <br />following circumstances: <br /> <br />(A) Unless specified herein, the provisions of this Chapter shall not apply to <br />animals used or confined at hospitals, clinics, or businesses operated by <br />licensed veterinarians. <br />(B) Regulations relating to vaccination requirements shall not apply to any <br />animal belonging to a nonresident of the City and kept within the City <br />for no longer than thirty (30) days, provided all such animals shall, at all <br />times while in the City, be restrained by the owner on the property <br />which the owner is occupying within the City of Arden Hills. <br />(C) Regulations relating to dangerous animals and potentially dangerous <br />animals shall not apply to dogs under the control of a law enforcement <br />officer. <br /> <br />400.08 Seizure and Removal of Animals. Subject to the provisions of this section, <br />animals found in violation of this chapter may be seized by the Animal Control <br />Officer, impounded in a designated animal shelter, and confined therein in a humane <br /> <br />4 -11 <br />
