Mr. Johnson informed Council detailed build- <br />ing plans will be submitted to Counci.l in near future. <br />A public hearing was set for tl� request of Jaek Grudnoake to rezone land at Aamline Avenue <br />and Highway 96 to commercial for September 28, 1959 at 8:00 p.m. �t the Village Hall. <br />PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE: DPT,an9e quoted prices for installation and purchase of poles for <br />the play�round at Hamline Avenue and Couniy Road E. <br />PUBLIC WFS,F'ARE COP�P+IITTEE: $ennec�y reported that the SE portion of Village has made ma�y <br />requests for public hearing soon on sewer. Heaxing date to be set as soon as possible. <br />pIotion by Kennec�y, seconded by Crepeau that rules be suspended and an Ordinance amending <br />the Zoning Ordinance to rezone to Co�ercial property located in the F7z of the NE� of the <br />NE`j- of Section 34, Townahip 30 North, Range 23 �est was given a fi.nal reading and psssage. <br />Csrried. <br />• PUBLIC 59E'hfiY: Motion by Crepeau, seconded by Kennec�y that rules be suspended and an <br />Ordinance Repealing Ordinance �23, and providing for the regulation of the presence of <br />minors under the age of 18 years on the atreets or in public places between the hours of <br />10:00 p.m. and 5:� a.m., defi.ning the duties o£ parents, and others in the care of minors <br />and providing the penalties for violations thereof was given a second and final reading <br />and passage. Motion passed. <br />Crepeau announced tY�at the Arden Hills Civil Defense patrol has given much volunteer help <br />during the aummer on patrol of beaches, etc. <br />Masor's Revort: Mayor Ashbach reported that tha mayor of New Brighton has requested that <br />the proposed street of lst Avexrue North behi.nd the Catholic Church in Plew Brighton be con- <br />structed to relieve congestion in the area, The road divides Arden Hills and New Brightoa. <br />Mr. Johnson inquired status of road to proposed Husby's Crestview plat. Council informed <br />him that Village Attorney ia till checu' 9 the matter. Pir. Johnson and Mr. Nord:in, both <br />• residents on the road stated they prefer it to remain a private road, unimproved by the <br />Village. <br />Electrical Inspector Salverda stated he had kiad reports of vi.olation on electrical con- <br />struction on grounds of Twin Citiea Arsenal and asked if he has the power to go in and <br />check the matter.
