]
39

without a clean out. That's to protect you against a chtap job
to start with and a lot of trouble afterwhile. Vhen you gt to
going around the house and building these curves and clean outs
and the digging and a lot of pipe. perhaps it's cheaper to qo right
through the basemnt, and that would be as Mr. Pcpovich pointed
out the individual connection is entirely up to theproperty owner
on his indivfdual contract with the man that's going to do the work
and I expect he will go into the details at that time and see
which is going to be the cheaper. So far my information has been
that there are many situations when it's actually cheaper to go
back through the basement floor than the curvas and clean outa.
MAYOR ASHBACH: Any other questions or Gommfnts?

hR. J. TIMM, 1400 Cunings: I don't know if I wnt on
record but at this time I would like to say I am in favor of the
proposed project.
NQ. L. B, STEVENSON 3461 Siems Court: I would like to know
at what approximate date ws could expect the sewers to be installed.
bt. BANISrFFi: To answer your yuestion, that, of course. is a

tough one and some of it is going to depend a little bit on procedure
of the Council. They have to take a position before construttion
could be underway. 7he plans and specificatios would have to be
completed. It is possible that part of the area might have s4rvice
in the year of 196C. I would hesitate to promise service for
196C. I think some of tha area could get it but it's questionable
as to whether all of 1t could. The Council has within six months
of this date to order the improvement in and if the Council
waited 6 manths before ordering it in then plans and specifications
being prepared after that there would be no construction in 196C.
