� <br />• <br />• <br />� <br />h�inutes of Regular �eeting - Monday, Jan. 30, 1961 - Yage 2 <br />Official Depository - <br />Official Newspapar - <br />New Brighton Bank <br />lst National Bank of St. Paul <br />Rose Tribune <br />Mayor Ashbach appointed the committees as per attached list to serve <br />in 1961. <br />Upon motion by Crepeau, saconded by Kennedy, the monthl salaries of <br />police officars IaRock and Nielsen were increased from �112.50 per mo. <br />to �125.00 per mo. startiqg Feb. 1, 1961. Carried. <br />I�ayor Ashbach appointed Richard Jones to gct as liaison man for Arden <br />Hills at the Legielature and John Sexton as liaison man at T;4etropolitan <br />sewage meetings. <br />The Council requested Ptiayor As:�.bach to write a letter of thanks to Dr. <br />Sekhon thanking him for his many years of service as Villa�e Health <br />Officer. <br />PLANNING & ZONING REPORT: The request for a hearing re; petition <br />e y ar cy, oore and �ostello was held in abeyance until attorney <br />can inforM Council as to wnether or not the Village has any jurisdiction <br />on Twin Cities arsenal propertg. <br />Kennedy asked that Attorney Courtney inform Council as to whether or not <br />we have authoritg to use funds budgeted for Planning to print and <br />distribute brochures to attract business and industry to the area. <br />PUBLIC S,AFETY REPOftT: Crepeau announced that his department hopes to <br />cooperate ully with the proposed Ramse,y County 5afety program. <br />�l�r.CRepeau stated that the salary of �125.00 made by regular police <br />officers on night shiPt provided that they patrol 74 hours per month <br />and be on call 12 hours per month. Any extra duty over this time is <br />paid at a rate of 2.00 per hour. <br />PUBLIC WQRKS REPORT: 3ngineer Bannister v+as raquested to meet with <br />Road ommissioner Olmen to vrork out s�oad improvement program to follow <br />sewer installations. <br />CLERK'S RE:PORT: IIpon motion by Stromquist, secoqded by Kennedy, <br />payro c ec s 1-11, General Fund checks 1-32, and special fund checks <br />1025-1038 as submitted on disbursement report were approved for payment <br />and check #2247 to Brighton Cleaners was voided. Carried. <br />Upon motion by Kepnedy, seconded by Olmep, the following licenses were <br />approved for 1961; Geo. Ke�p - Grocery, Cigarettes, Off Sale Malt <br />I,iquor. Wsgon Wheel Inn - On Sale and Off Sale Malt Liquor, Cigarettes, <br />Cafe, soft drinks. Carried. <br />Clerk submitted 1960 4th quarter liquor reports for McGuires Liquors, <br />Inc., 1Vagon wheel Inn, and Big Ten Supper Club. Inc. <br />Motion by Kennedy, seconded by Crepeau, approved change order No. 1-, <br />Sewer Impr. No. 3. Carried. <br />\ <br />� <br />
