Don Carloy reported that Ed�ewater has been raised as hi.�h as possible, <br />and it is now ready for surfacing. Carley estimated that it crculd cost <br />aQout �125.00 to cut back the tvio corners in A�den riills �3, to eliminate <br />the blind corners previously described. The Council referred the matter <br />to Jones wno advised CaTle.y to procede tivith the cut-back. <br />•i�tr. John Grudnoske, 1440 VJ. County Hoad G, appeared before the council, and <br />inquired about a permit to build his barn intoaflat'roof type building, to <br />be used f'or some type of commercial purpose ivhen finished. Attorney� Courtne; <br />e;cplained that Nir. Grudnoske could request th.e property to be rezoned to <br />cor,unercial, or request a conditional use permit if he new to what use the <br />building would be put, or he could apply for a non-conforming use permit. <br />He v✓as advised to first suomit plans for nis buildin� and a list oS probable <br />costs, to the attorney, before any Council action can be taken. <br />IIr. Paker, of Park �on�truction Company, 51 37th Avenue t1.E., Ivtinneapolis, <br />requested permission to close Hamline Avenue at a point where 2 bridges are i <br />to be constructed, diverting traiiic from iiamline Avepue to Lexington Ave. <br />He statod that both ltamsey County and the State have �iven tneir pes�mission <br />to elose Hamline, subject to the approval ol the 'village of Arden Hills. <br />Hamline Avenue is to be back in service by November 15, 1960. Jones <br />moved that ivIr. Eaker�s request be granted subject to the openin� of I,exing- <br />ton Avenue. Seconded ay Crc;peau. Carr•ied. Letter �tatin� the action <br />of the Council re; "riamline Closing to be sent_to Park Construction Co. by <br />• the Blerk. <br />P:Ire. i.Tildred Carlson, 1897 Glenpaul, requested permis�icn to build an apart- <br />ment upstairs in ner home to be used by =ner son and his �r+iie. This v✓ould <br />be a non-cenformir�g use and was rezerred to the I;oard of Appeals for tiieir <br />report. <br />•?v�rs. Johnson, 1521 lOth pvenue So., T��Iinneapolis, requested that her son, <br />3ugo Tohnson, who operates Hugo and ?V[arges on County Road D, be alloived to <br />construct living quarters behind his business or be allowed to park a <br />trai_ler on 'the premises for living purpcses.
