Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Re uest for Street 1m rovement - Gale Circle <br />A ! atter, dated September 24, t 9 I. from 14r. L. J. Kaus. was <br />reviewed by Engineer Lund. After discussion of the matter, the <br />Council advised Mr. Kaus to submit a petition from property owners <br />abutting Gale Circle, if a Vi I rage Street Improvement is desired. <br /> <br />Charles Perry Park Impr~~ <br />The Council reviewed and discussed the work in Charles Perry Park <br />which remains undone by Schutz Contracting. Work cannot be started <br />- by Belair Construction Company. under the new project awarded t~em <br />by the Council on September 13, 1971,untlf the work of Schutz <br />Construction Is done, a $5,000 Performance Bond Is held by the <br />Village with the Schutz Agreement. <br /> <br />Mayor Crepeau reported that he and Councilman HerriCk met for three <br />hours at the park site with Mr. Schutz and his mother on Saturday, <br />September 25. No satisfactory completion agreement was attained. <br /> <br />The Council agreed that they would like to seethe park project <br />completed in accordance with the original Banister plans. <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />Mr. Jerome G. Belair. Belair Construction Company, submitted an <br />informal bid of $7,900 to perform the additional necessary grading <br />and filling. A Change Order, prepared by the Village Engineer, <br />would be needed to add'this to the existing contract with Belair <br />Construction Company. <br /> <br />After further discussion of the problems involved. the Council <br />instructed Attorney Courtney to inform Mr. Schutz by letter t~at <br />he has been ord~red'off the job. The Attorney was also instructed <br />to notify the bondjng'~ompany of a possible claim by the Village <br />re the project. <br /> <br />~)> <br /> <br />Engineer Lund was instructed to establ ish existing grades at the <br />park and to compere them to the proposed grades that ConTractor <br />Schutz agreed to establish and to order some pJctures taken of the <br />site. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Herrick, seconded by Hollenhorst, that the Belair <br />contract be amend'ed to author j ze an add it i on to the park proJect, <br />specifying tr.~t approximately 25,000~c yards of fi II be taken <br />from the SOU7~ section of the project, to the north section. and <br />that the nor~h section be rough graded in accordance with instructions <br />of the Vi II <'Ig,e Engineer, all in accordance with Change Order No. I, <br />as attacheJ; motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />Landscapl~1-= Perimeter of Village Ha!1 ~nd <br />Two informal bids tor the above I fsted Jobs <br />Councilman Olmen. as follows: <br />Belair Construction Company <br />Llno Lak~s Landscaping <br /> <br />Maintenance Building <br />were submitted by <br /> <br />$1798.49 <br />3.386.00 <br /> <br />Motion was made by Olmen, seconded by Henderson, that the bid of <br />Belair Construction Company, Inc., In the amouni" of $1798~49, be <br />approved, work to be d~n. in accordanc~ with details listed on <br />~heir bid dated September 21. !971. and ~ttached.
