• <br />MItWTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />COUNCIL OF THE VILIAGE OF ARDEN HILIS <br />MONDAY, OCTOBER 12,. 1959 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:10 p.m. by Ntagor Aahbach. <br />Roll call: Present; pehbach, Crepeau, Kennedy, DeIange, Stromquist <br />Absent; none <br />. The minutea of the 5eptember 28, 1959 meeting were approvad as �ubmitted. <br />A request of Mr. Donald Roberts to put a cabinet shop on the commercial <br />property at County Road E betuveen Hamline and Lexington Avenue was re- <br />ferred to Public Welfare Committee. <br />. <br />A public hearing was held on Highway I,�gout and Profile 2A, Vicinitq of <br />Arden Hills from 5nellipg Avenue to Jct. FAI 694, S.P. 6216-30 (T.H.51=125) <br />Mr. N.cCubrey explained layout and answered questions from Council apd <br />floor. Council requested a bridga or diamond at County Road E for access <br />from So�:th to Lexington Avenue and to Village commercial area. Highwag <br />Department to study Village request. <br />p public hearing was held on Highwap Layout and �'rofile 9�, Vicinitq of <br />Cleveland AVenue, S.P. 6284 (35W.394). N.r. NicCubrey explained that this <br />revised plan is a little different from one formerly given preliminary <br />approval by Council. <br />Mr. Bordeaua questioned distancea on map as it appeared the new plan cut <br />his property in two parts between Cleveland and Round Iake. It appeared <br />the highway might take away access to one residence location on shore of <br />Round Lake. Council aoted to etudy ruatter until next regular meeting. <br />A public hearing wae held on the proposad 1960 Village budget as pre- <br />sented,by Stromquist, F�inance Committee chairman. NIayor Ashbach reported <br />that the �illage � 11 rate should show little change if the budget was <br />passed as proposed. After discussion of budget motion made by Strom- <br />quist, seconded by Kennedy tYa t the atteched resolution re. 1860 tax <br />levy be approved and submitted to Ramsey County Auditor. Motion pessed. <br />Peter Popovich, Fiscal Agent for sewer, recommended to Council that we <br />sell bonds in an amount of �120,000.00 to finance Sewer ImpT. #1, <br />Projects 1 and 2. <br />•Upon motion by Crepeau, seconded by DeI.�nge, the resolution re, bond <br />sale as attached was approved. Moti on-passed. q meeting for bond sale <br />was set for November 3, 1959 at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall. <br />Engineer Carley presented Council with 12 copies of Village street maps. <br />Additional copies may be ordered if needed at any time. <br />•Mr. Gearge Weber, Chief Deputy of Ramsey County Sheriff�s office explaiqed <br />e plan where Village may contract for police service from Ramsey County. <br />�Iatter to be given further study by Public Sa�ety Committee. <br />Mr. Lloyd Kin� representing the 1�tinnesota Pool Company offered his service: <br />on questions Council mag have re= ewimming pools. Mr. Kind to send Clerk <br />copies of model ordinances as passed by other municipalities on pools. <br />
