Fairview (intarsection of Crystal and. Fair— <br />view), appeared beiore the Council with a drainage problem. Del,ange <br />recouunended that Village Engineer� Carley, investigate and recommend <br />a solution. DeLenge to take care of notifying Engineer and seeing <br />that a solution is reached. <br />Courtney reported that a peaceful settlement of the Patterson <br />easement matter appears unlikely and recommended that the Council <br />autnorize attorney to prepare a formal rseolution of condemnation <br />to ovtain easement. Kennedy made a motion that the attorney be <br />autriorized to commence condemnation proceedings immediately to <br />obtain this ease�ent, seconded by Crepeau. Motion carried. <br />Courtney sub;2itted re-drafted burnin� ordi7ance. �'�E Council deci3ed <br />to hold it over to tne next regular meeting so they would '_nave a <br />chance to s�udy it. <br />The liquor license applications for Big Ten Tavern, Highway 10 Liquor <br />Store, Inc. and ivIcGuire�s I,iquor, Inc. have been reviewed 'ny the <br />attorneg and returned to Read� with qoted suggestions. <br />Courtney r�ported that all waivers of trespass are aow on file in <br />connaction with se�ver easements presentlg necessary in sewer con— <br />struction. <br />The sewer petitions submitted by residents in Shorewood Hi11s and <br />Valentine Hi11s have been checked by Attorney and all found to be <br />in technically defective form. He also stated that there was no <br />legal point in filing petitions until a syetem was available for <br />residents to hook into, as far as the Improvement Code was coqcerned. <br />`_-ie also requested that any future petitioners get correct form from <br />the Clerk�s Oifice so they would be valid and more readily verified <br />by attorney. <br />• Council instructed Clerk to write residents who circulated petitions <br />to inform tnem that tha petitions, as submitted, are technically <br />defective, the Council is unable to act on petitions until a sewer <br />outlet is available for the area, and that tn.ey' can ob�ain the correct <br />
